Glendale Residents Oppose Urban Development

Phoenix (September 13, 2010) — The Bidwill family, owners of the Arizona Cardinals football team, has a proposed development plan that will require rezoning of the 128 acres that includes the stadium and surrounding area. Neighborhood meetings have been the forum for recent debate of the proposed plan before the issue goes before the City Council in October.

Phoenix (August 25, 2010) — The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors recently approved an operating agreement that will allow racing to resume at Arizona Motorsports Park (“AMP”) but only under specific noise levels. The facility is situated on 148 acres on Camelback Road and west of Litchfield Road in unincorporated Maricopa County, with Goodyear and Litchfield Park city limits very nearby.

Churches, Temples and Mosques…Oh My!

Phoenix (August 18, 2010) — The siting of religious buildings has recently garnered local and national attention. Community opposition has been vocal in New York, California and Tennessee over planned mosques. Locally, Yuma is defending a lawsuit after the City prevented a church in the downtown area.
