Nicole’s years of experience in Public Affairs for the U.S. government and as on-air television reporter provide her with a solid background in media and community relations. While on assignment in Turkey in support of Operation Northern Watch, she worked as a broadcast journalist for the Armed Forces Network (AFN). She moved into the field of public relations at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia. Nicole was a reporter for the base newspaper and was heavily involved in getting out the Army’s message to the civilian population in Savannah through the community relations office. Also while in Savannah, Nicole worked as a weekend on-air reporter for ABC affiliate WJCL.
Nicole capped off her military career in Washington, D.C., at the Office of the Chief of Public Affairs at the Pentagon and also served as a national correspondent for the flagship station Soldiers Radio and Television (SRTV). While in D.C., Nicole handled media relations and was the Pentagon correspondent for one of the largest military murder investigations ever coming out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. She has won numerous awards for television journalism, including a Telly in 2001 and the Keith L. Ware award for outstanding journalism two years in a row.
